About mod:

This addon extends the capabilities of the in game winch system, allowing it to attach and move things other than trees. Anything with trailer-type attacher joints, as well as dynamic objects like bales and pallets are also supported.

This was written as part of a collaboration with Roughneck Modding Crew for use with their upcoming line of winch enabled mods.

This is done by targeting either tension belt or collision enabled shapes with the cpu mesh flag set. The mod includes a small “hard point” attachment shape that is automatically injected into many in game vehicles at the trailer attacher locations.

These hard points can also be created and added to any location inside of a vehicle or object i3d to allow the winch to attach to those locations as well. These nodes can take three user attributes as well.

thWidth (float): The width or size of the object along the X axis
thLength (float): The length or size of the object along the Z axis
thHeight (float): The height or size of the object along the Y axis

Additionally the attachment “ring” can be made larger or smaller with the use of two binds. These are registered to right-shift + colon, right-shift + quote by default.
It is also possible to change the attachment ring orientation by pressing right-shift + L by default.

That’s it, it’s pretty much a plug and play system. The only configuration really required would be if you wanted to add more attachment points to different vehicles than are already injected into the game.

Version 1.0.0.2:
* Fixed injected attacher to work better with certain vehicles

How do I install Farming Simulator mods?
Find a mod that you like and want to download first. Then, on your PC, download a mod. Mods are typically in.zip format. However, it is sometimes in.rar format. If the mod file is in.zip format, no additional actions are required. If a file is in.rar format, you must unarchive it using software such as WinRar or Zip7. Windows 10 users do not need to use archive software; Win10 includes an unarchive feature.

The next step is to locate the mods folder on your computer. It is typically found in Documents/My Games/Farming Simulator [Your FS game version, e.g. 2022]. Open the "mods" folder and place the downloaded.zip archive or unarchived.rar file there.

The final step. Have fun with Farming Simulator mods!
