About mod:

It’s a program for managing your mods before starting the game.
Keep the program in a different location than your mod folder.
Please read the “Readme.txt” document in the file.

Technically, it works like this:
All mods contain a file called modDecs.xml. The game first reads this file and then, using the relevant instructions within the file, accesses other files it needs to read. The program works on a similar principle. First, it finds the modDecs.xml file within the mod’s ZIP file. Then, it retrieves what it needs from this file and performs its functions. If the program displays an ERROR window upon startup, it means that the modDecs.xml file is either missing or contains an unreadable error in the relevant MOD file. It can work in all FS games with this structure. Developed and tested it for FS25.

How do I install Farming Simulator mods?
Find a mod that you like and want to download first. Then, on your PC, download a mod. Mods are typically in.zip format. However, it is sometimes in.rar format. If the mod file is in.zip format, no additional actions are required. If a file is in.rar format, you must unarchive it using software such as WinRar or Zip7. Windows 10 users do not need to use archive software; Win10 includes an unarchive feature.

The next step is to locate the mods folder on your computer. It is typically found in Documents/My Games/Farming Simulator [Your FS game version, e.g. 2022]. Open the "mods" folder and place the downloaded.zip archive or unarchived.rar file there.

The final step. Have fun with Farming Simulator mods!
