About mod:

SmartLights automates the headlights, work lights, and rotating beacons in LS25 depending on visibility, weather, vehicle size, and work situation.
It features realistic delays for smoother, more predictable lighting behavior.

SmartLights is a script mod for Farming Simulator 25.
The mod automates headlights, work lights and rotating beacons depending on visibility, weather, vehicle and work situation.

The settings can be found in the game menu under:
General settings -> SmartLights
There, the automatic headlights, rotating beacons, and work lights can each be set to Manual, Automatic, or Realistic.
Manual adjustments by the player are always respected. SmartLights is intended to provide support, but not to permanently override deliberate manual switching.

SmartLights’ basic logic
doesn’t just work according to the time of day, but also takes the situation in the game into account.

Headlights:
– are switched on depending on weather and light conditions
– darkness, rain, snow, hail and fog can affect the headlights

Rotating beacons:
– are switched depending on vehicle type, vehicle size and attachment
– large or transport-relevant combinations can be automatically detected
– rotating beacons can be suppressed in working mode

Work lights:
– are treated separately from driving lights
– are switched on for appropriate field work or work situations
– large or foldable implements maintain the work context until the end of the work situation

Version 1.0.2.0:
* Recognition of the work context for future work lighting logic expanded
* Rotating beacons remain suppressed during the detected operating mode and do not immediately switch back on when a passive device is lifted.
* For passive devices without a clear end trigger, manual switching off of the work light is still necessary
